FC Groningen weigert schikkingsvoorstel voor Valente.

FC Groningen heeft een schikkingsvoorstel van de aanklager betaald voetbal voor de rode kaart voor Luciano Valente afgewezen. De KNVB wil de Groningse spelmaker voor drie duels schorsen, waarvan één wedstrijd voorwaardelijk.
Luciano Valente werd woensdagavond in de extra speeltijd van de competitiewedstrijd tegen Ajax uit het veld gestuurd door scheidsrechter Jeroen Manschot. Het spektakelstuk in Euroborg eindigde na 100 minuten in een 2-2 gelijkspel.
FC Groningen en Valente kunnen zich niet vinden in het schikkingsvoorstel van de KNVB en hebben het daarom terzijde geschoven. Dit betekent dat de aanklager deze zaak nu voorlegt aan de tuchtcommissie betaald voetbal. De behandeling van de rode kaart is naar verwachting vanavond, donderdag 15 mei, in Zeist.
