FC Groningen gelooft in samenwerken. Niet alleen partners zijn daarin van heel groot belang. Door samen te werken met andere topsportorganisaties in Groningen kunnen nog meer jongeren en ouderen worden geïnspireerd meer en beter te bewegen. De inspirerende waarde van topsport is niet te onderschatten.
In onze regio zijn er veel waardevolle initiatieven die bijdragen aan een beweegrijke toekomst voor iedereen. Het gehele landschap is echter wel versnipperd en veel initiatieven werken onvoldoende samen of kennen elkaar niet, laat staan dat inwoners hier goed van op de hoogte zijn. FC Groningen gelooft in samenwerken. Niet alleen partners zijn daarin van heel groot belang. Door samen te werken met andere (topsport)organisaties in Groningen kunnen nog meer doelgroepen worden geïnspireerd meer en beter te bewegen.

Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur
De Trots van het Noorden vindt dat iedereen moet kunnen sporten, ongeacht leeftijd, fysieke gesteldheid of financiële positie. Voor sommige kinderen is dit wegens financiële omstandigheden een uitdaging. Samen met Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur wordt sport bereikbaar gemaakt voor iedereen. Zodat iedereen meer en beter gaat bewegen en het mooie van sport kan ontdekken. Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur zorgt dat ook kinderen uit gezinnen met minder financiële mogelijkheden kunnen meedoen. Jeugdfonds neemt (een deel) van de contributie over zodat jongeren die rond de armoedegrens leven toch hun favoriete sport kunnen beoefenen op clubniveau. In de provincie Groningen groeit een op de zeven kinderen op in armoede. Dit weerhoudt hen ervan om voldoende te bewegen en vergroot de bewegingsarmoede in de regio. FC Groningen steunt Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur om samen deze kinderen te laten sporten en bewegingsarmoede tegen te gaan. Door meer en beter te bewegen werkt men richting een gezondere toekomst.
Veel van de Meer en Beter Bewegen programma’s van FC Groningen zijn kosteloos; denk aan de FC Groningen Scholentour of Trainen in de Wijk. Ook stelt de club meerdere plaatsen beschikbaar voor activiteiten van FC Groningen Trainen als een Prof voor steun van Jeugdfonds Sport & Cultuur kunnen gebruik maken van deze plaatsen.
Cosis
Cosis helpt mensen met een verstandelijke en/of psychische beperking grip te krijgen op het leven. Met ruim 200 locaties in Groningen en Drenthe zijn ze altijd dichtbij. Een van de locaties is Euroborg. Zo voeren de mensen van Cosis- onder goed geschoolde begeleiding – nu al meer dan vijftien klussen uit in en om het stadion van FC Groningen. Cosis is niet meer weg te denken bij FC Groningen. Cosis helpt de cliënten dan ook zich te ontwikkelen binnen de vaardigheden, wensen en ambities.
We hebben een maatschappelijke missie: het stoppen van bewegingsarmoede in ons verzorgingsgebied! Dit is een groot en ambitieus doel, waar we ons volop voor inzetten. Dit doen we samen met andere topsportclubs, bedrijven, sportverenigingen, overheidsinstanties en meer organisaties die hieraan willen bijdragen. Samen organiseren we verschillende projecten en activiteiten, waarbij iedereen zijn eigen expertise inzet.
