In de serie ‘Van eigen bodem’ kijken we deze keer samen met Kyano Doesburg naar zijn voetbalcarrière. De 16-jarige voetballer begon bij de voetbalvereniging GVAV-Rapiditas en voetbalt nu bij FC Groningen onder-18 en doet er alles aan om zichzelf zo goed mogelijk te ontwikkelen.
Kyano is begonnen met voetballen door zijn vader. Samen potjes voetbal spelen in de tuin heeft er toe geleid dat Kyano graag zelf op voetbal wilde. Zijn allereerste voetbalherinneringen zijn daarom ook met zijn vader. Maar op de vraag wie er nu zou winnen in een één op één battle tussen Kyano en zijn vader is Kyano erg zelfverzekerd: ‘ik, zeker!’
Kyano is erg bewust bezig met zijn eigen ontwikkeling. Met zijn team probeert hij zo goed mogelijk te presteren, maar er is voldoende ruimte om zichzelf beter en beter te maken. Hierin ervaart hij dat hij beter en beter wordt in de dingen die hij zelf graag wil ontwikkelen.
Die ontwikkeling dient maar één doel. Daar is Kyano ook duidelijk over. Profvoetballer worden. Het eerste van FC Groningen halen. Daarnaast durft Kyano ook al verder te dromen en heeft hij ook al zijn clubs uitgekozen waar hij daarna naartoe zou willen dromen.
