Marco Bizot wordt niet geschorst naar aanleiding van de rode kaart die hij zondagavond ontving in de thuiswedstrijd tegen FC Twente. De aanklager betaald voetbal van de KNVB heeft de zaak geseponeerd.
Doelman Bizot zou Twente-speler Luc Castaignos op onreglementaire wijze hebben belet de bal te spelen, terwijl de spits zich in scoringspositie bevond. Scheidsrechter Kevin Blom gaf Bizot hiervoor in de 78ste minuut – bij een 0-1 achterstand – een rode kaart en strafschop tegen. Uiteindelijk werd het 0-3.
Geseponeerd Op basis van de ingediende verklaringen en de televisiebeelden heeft de aanklager geoordeeld dat de overtreding ‘niet wettig en overtuigend’ kan worden bewezen.
De zaak wordt geseponeerd en dus volgt geen schorsing. Bizot is derhalve in de eerstvolgende uitwedstrijd tegen Willem II op zaterdag 30 maart gewoon inzetbaar.
