Woensdagavond zendt Fox Sports de eerste documentaire, uit een serie van vier, van FC Groningen TV uit. In 55 minuten volgt FCG TV de rentree van FC Groningen in Europa: van de vlucht vanaf Eelde naar het Schotse Aberdeen tot aan de return op 24 juli in Euroborg. Het levert een unieke inkijk op van het Europese tweeluik van FC Groningen tegen Aberdeen.
Woensdagavond zendt Foxsports de eerste documentaire, uit een serie van vier, van FC Groningen TV uit. In 55 minuten volgt FCG TV de rentree van FC Groningen in Europa: van de vlucht vanaf Eelde naar het Schotse Aberdeen tot aan de return op 24 juli in Euroborg. Het levert een unieke inkijk op van het Europese tweeluik van FC Groningen tegen Aberdeen.
FC Groningen TV volgde de terugkeer van FC Groningen in Europa in juli van nabij. Programmamakers Emiel Venema en Jos Schoenmaker vlogen mee vanaf Eelde naar Aberdeen en registreerden de reis en aankomst zoveel mogelijk met de camera. Daarnaast was FCG TV bij de eerste kennismaking van FC Groningen met het Pittodrie-Stadium, de persconferentie in het Engels van Erwin van de Looi en de training in Aberdeen die werd bezocht door zo’n honderd FC Groningen-supporters.
De volgende dag was FCG TV aanwezig in het centrum van Aberdeen waar de 700 FC Groningen-fans zich voor de wedstrijd in Aberdeen verzamelden. Voor aanvang van de wedstrijd volgde FCG TV verzorger Henk Hagenauw die zijn 27e Europese wedstrijd met FC Groningen ging beleven. Daarnaast werd de grote stoet van FC fans bij het Pittodrie-Stadium opgewacht. Als enige filmteam mocht FC Groningen TV alles voor en tijdens de uitwedstrijd tegen Aberdeen van nabij filmen en werd Hagenauw tijdens de wedstrijd op de bank gevolgd. Een week later was FCG TV bij de aankomst van Aberdeen-supporters bij Euroborg en de return die helaas door FC Groningen met 2-1 werd verloren.
Gedurende de documentaire kijkt FC Groningen TV terug op eerdere Europese ontmoeten van FC Groningen tegen onder andere Atlético Madrid. Galway United. Partizan Belgrado en Fiorentina met hoofdrolspelers als Paul Mason, Theo ten Caat en Yuri Cornelisse.
De Fox Sports documentaire ‘De rentree van FC Groningen in Europa,’ gemaakt door FC Groningen TV, wordt woensdagavond om 19.30 uur uitgezonden op Fox Sports kanaal 1. De documentaire wordt herhaald om 22.10 uur op kanaal 3 en om 23.00 uur op kanaal 1. Donderdag is de documentaire om 23.00 uur te zien op kanaal 1, vrijdag om 18.00 uur en 21.30 uur op kanaal 3 en om 0.00 uur op kanaal 1, zaterdag om 17.00 uur op kanaal 3 en zondag om 19.30 uur op kanaal 1.
