FC Groningen maakt zich klaar voor de competitiewedstrijd in speelronde 5 thuis tegen FC Utrecht. Het duel wordt zondagmiddag 18 oktober om 16.45 uur afgetrapt. Helaas zonder supporters op de tribunes van het Hitachi Capital Mobility Stadion. Trainer Danny Buijs verwelkomde de drie internationals Ko Itakura, Jørgen Strand Larsen en Tomas Suslov aan het einde van de week weer op de training. De hoofdtrainer kijkt vooruit op de wedstrijd tegen de Utrechters waarbij FC Groningen in de voorbereiding werd opgeschrikt door het coronavirus.
Helaas is het niet mogelijk voor de trouwe achterban van FC Groningen om het team vanuit het stadion te steunen. De wedstrijd tegen FC Utrecht wordt live uitgezonden op FOX Sports 1. Deze zender is via veel TV-aanbieders; KPN (kanaal 14), Ziggo (kanaal 421, voor klanten met minimaal een TV Start- of Standard-abonnement) en T-Mobile (kanaal 150) zonder extra abonnement beschikbaar.
