Afgelopen woensdag kwam een kleine groep jonge FC supporters met hun meest originele vragen naar het Noordlease Stadion. Zij waren de gelukkigen die aanwezig mochten zijn bij een exclusieve Junior Club Persconferentie.
Met een perskaart in hun handen betraden de nerveuze kinderen de persruimte van FC Groningen. In de persruimte was communicatiemedewerker Frank Veenhof aanwezig om de kinderen voor te bereiden op het vragenvuur.
Na de instructie van Frank zat iedereen klaar om de spelers te ontmoeten. Niet veel later kwamen Lars Veldwijk, Kevin Begois, Jesper Drost en Amir Absalem binnen. Deze spelers hadden tijd vrij gemaakt in hun agenda om alle vragen van de Junior Club pers te beantwoorden.
De leden van de Junior Club waren erg nieuwsgierig naar het leven van de spelers. Zo werd duidelijk dat Kevin Begois soms pas twee uur na afloop van een wedstrijd uit de kleedkamer komt, omdat hij lang doucht en in bad zit. Amir staat echter het langste voor de spiegel want, zo gaf hij aan, hij heeft lange haren en daarom duurt het langer om dat goed te krijgen.
Lars werd aangewezen als meest modebewust en hij gaf toe dat hij heel veel schoenen en kleding heeft.
Na alle vragen was het tijd voor handtekeningen, een korte rondleiding en natuurlijk een groepsfoto! Kortom, een hele vermakelijke middag die de kinderen niet snel vergeten.
