In samenwerking met VEV'67 uit Leek heeft FC Groningen woensdag 9 april 2014 de eerste FC Groningen voetbaldag voor F-pupillen georganiseerd. Ook FC Grootegast, vv Grijpskerk, vv TLC, sv Marum, vv Roden, vv Zuidhorn en vv Gomos hebben hun bijdrage geleverd aan dit fantastische evenement.
Tijdens de voetbaldag hebben de spelertjes kennis gemaakt met de verschillen in partijtjes van 5 tegen 5 en 6 tegen 6. Voor FC Groningen leverde dit kostbare informatie op en de kinderen vonden het geweldig. Naast de activiteiten voor de kinderen is FC Groningen ook in gesprek gegaan met trainers, ouders en andere belangstellenden. Tijdens deze gesprekken is nuttige kennis gedeeld waar iedere partij mee verder kan. Hagenauw Een FC Groningen voetbaldag is niet compleet zonder een speler van FC Groningen. Arjen Hagenauw van Jong FC Groningen was uitgenodigd bezoek te brengen aan het sportpark van VEV’67. Voor Hagenauw was het een weerzien met de plaats waar hij jarenlang naar school ging. Ook Groby was vanmiddag nog en bezienswaardigheid voor alle kinderen. Iedereen wilde graag met Groby op de foto. Essent Alle deelnemers en begeleiders aan de voetbaldag kregen van hoofdsponsor Essent een bezoek aan een wedstrijd van FC Groningen aangeboden, dit was de perfecte afsluiting van een geweldige middag voor alle partijen.
