FC Groningen speelde precies vijf jaar geleden de eerste officiële wedstrijd in Euroborg. Op vrijdag 13 januari 2006 werd het stadion officieel geopend door Arjen Robben en won FC Groningen vervolgens met 2-0 van sc Heerenveen.
In de afgelopen vijf jaar speelde FC Groningen exact 102 officiële wedstrijden. De thuiswedstrijd tegen Feyenoord was voor FC Groningen de honderdste officiële wedstrijd in Euroborg. De zeges tegen Vitesse en AZ betekenden de zestigste en 61ste overwinning in een officiële wedstrijd. 102 wedstrijden 86x Competitiewedstrijden 9x Play-offwedstrijden 5x Bekerwedstrijden 2x Europese wedstrijden Resultaten 61 keer gewonnen 14 keer gelijkspel 27 keer verloren Bijna twee miljoen In de 102 gespeelde wedstrijden passeerden in totaal 1.950.000 toeschouwers de poorten van Euroborg. Na de wedstrijden tegen FC Twente, Willem II en Roda JC zal op zaterdag 19 februari de tweemiljoenste bezoeker worden begroet in het stadion van FC Groningen.
Sankoh en Berg Gibril Sankoh speelde in 79 van de 102 wedstrijden in Euroborg en is daarmee koploper. Marcus Berg maakte 22 van de 172 treffers in Euroborg.
