Een vol programma dit weekeinde op Corpus den Hoorn met maar liefst vier thuiswedstrijden voor de jeugdteams van FC Groningen/Cambuur.
Wedstrijd van de week | FC Groningen/Cambuur B1 v Almere City FC B1 Voor het eerst sinds 28 april 2007 spelen de B-junioren weer een thuiswedstrijd op Eerste Divisie-niveau. Op die dag werd De Graafschap B1 op Corpus den Hoorn met 2-0 verslagen en wist FCG met overmacht te promoveren naar de eredivisie. Ook ditmaal is de ploeg van trainer Peter Moltmaker een van de favorieten om te promoveren. De start van dit seizoen mag in elk geval als geslaagd worden beschouwd. In de bekerfase werden reeds twee duels op rij gewonnen terwijl vorig weekeinde de eerste competitiewedstrijd drie punten opleverde. In Hengelo werd VA FC Twente B1 met ruime cijfers (1-4) verslagen. In competitieverband stond het affiche tussen FCG en Almere (voorheen Omniworld) pas tweemaal eerder op het programma. In beide gevallen ging op Corpus de zege naar de groenwitten (1-0 en 2-1). Almere City FC B1 verloor een week geleden haar eerste puntenwedstrijd op eigen veld van Ajax B2. Overige wedstrijden Er zijn maar liefst vier thuiswedstrijden. FCG D1 opent het voetbalweekeinde met een thuiswedstrijd op vrijdagavond tegen Heerenveen/Emmen D1. In de voorbereiding was dezelfde tegenstander nog te sterk. FCG C1, vorig weekeinde nog winnaar in een doelpuntrijk duel in Almere, treft op Corpus Zeeburgia C1. Voor FCG D3 gaat de competitie morgen van start met een wedstrijd tegen Urk D1. De andere teams spelen buitenshuis. FCG A1 speelt in Doetinchem tegen De Graafschap A1. De mannen van trainer Raveneau wisten hun eerste duel niet te winnen van VA FC Twente A1. FCG C3 versloeg een week geleden in een bizar duel AZ C2 en mag het puntenaantal proberen te verdubbelen met een uitmatch bij VA FC Twente C2.
