FC Groningen TV kijkt terug op de 3-1 overwinning van zaterdag op Heracles met Nick van der Velden, Richairo Zivkovic en debutant Angelo Cijntje. Daarnaast worden vrijwilligers van diverse voetbalclubs uit het noorden in het zonnetje gezet en blikt Hans Hateboer vooruit naar het eerste play-offduel tegen Vitesse.
Afgelopen zaterdag werden honderd vrijwilligers van vijftig voetbalclubs uit Noord-Nederland door FC Groningen en hoofdsponsor Essent in het zonnetje gezet. Ze werden op deze wijze bedankt voor de onmisbare inzet die zij wekelijks leveren voor hun club. FC Groningen-aanvoerder Maikel Kieftenbeld, geschorst tegen Heracles Almelo, heette de vrijwilligers welkom en liet hen weten zelf ook vrijwilligerswerk te doen.
Komende zaterdag wordt voor de tiende keer Walk for Life Groningen georganiseerd. Walk for Life Groningen is een recreatief wandel- en loopevenement met als doel om zoveel mogelijk geld in te zamelen voor kankeronderzoek bij jongvolwassenen. De opbrengst komt geheel ten goede aan het UMCG Kanker Researchfonds. FC Groningen steunt het loopevenement, net als de Koninklijke Landmacht die daarom met veertig veteranen afgelopen zaterdag te gast was bij FC Groningen – Heracles Almelo.
De FC won met 3-1 van Heracles Almelo en vestigde daarmee een record: zes keer op rij winnen in de Eredivisie. FCG TV kijkt terug op de overwinning met Nick van der Velden die met een doelpunt en twee assists een belangrijke rol vervulde. Daarnaast komt Richairo Zivkovic aan het woord die na afloop officieel afscheid nam van de supporters van FC Groningen. Voor Angelo Cijntje was het helemaal een bijzondere avond. Hij viel zes minuten voor tijd in en maakte zo op 33-jarige leeftijd zijn debuut in de Eredivisie.
Woensdag komt FC Groningen alweer in actie in Euroborg. Dan komt Vitesse op bezoek voor de play-offs om Europees voetbal. Op 22 maart won FC Groningen voor de competitie met 3-1 van Vitesse. Dat was het begin van de fraaie reeks van zes zeges op rij. FCG TV blikt vooruit op de komende ontmoeting met de ploeg uit Arnhem met Hans Hateboer.
FC Groningen TV wordt vandaag om 17.00 uur en 23.30 uur uitgezonden op Fox Sports Eredivisie kanaal 1. FCG TV wordt herhaald om 18.00 uur en 21.45 uur op kanaal 3 en om 19.00 uur op kanaal 5. Morgen is FCG TV om 14.10 uur te zien op kanaal 1.
De afleveringen van FC Groningen TV zijn elke zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV, de lokale omroep van Groningen. De uitzendingen beginnen om 15.30 uur en zijn in een carrousel terug te zien tot zondagochtend 9.00 uur.
