Na de drie buitenlandse internationals Kirm, Adorjan en Kostic zijn Stefan van der Lei, William Ekong en Wieger Sietsma opgeroepen voor diverse Oranje-elftallen.
Doelman Stefan van der Lei behoort tot de selectie van Jong Oranje dat donderdag 10 oktober in en tegen Jong Georgië de derde wedstrijd in de EK-kwalificatiereeks speelt. Het duel begint om 13.00 uur Nederlandse tijd. Op maandag 14 oktober oefent de ploeg van bondscoach Albert Stuivenberg in Deventer tegen Jong Oostenrijk. Beloftenteam Verdediger William Troost-Ekong gaat van 10 tot en met 14 oktober een vierlandentoernooi spelen met het Nederlands Beloftenelftal. De ploeg van bondscoach Remy Reynierse neemt het achtereenvolgens op tegen Tsjechië, Duitsland en Turkije. De duels worden op donderdag 10, zaterdag 12 en maandag 14 oktober gespeeld in respectievelijk Cuijck, Gemert en nogmaals Cuijck. Onder-19 Doelman Wieger Sietsma is door bondscoach Wim van Zwam opgenomen in de selectie van het Nederlands elftal onder 19 jaar voor twee oefeninterlands in en tegen Turkije. De wedstrijden tegen de leeftijdsgenoten in Turkije worden gespeeld op donderdag 10 en zondag 13 oktober in Istanbul, in respectievelijk het Güngören Yaha Bas Stadion en het Atatürk Olympiad Stadion. Richairo Zivkovic staat standby voor deze trip naar Turkije. Onder-17 Erwin Heidekamp en Keziah Veendorp van FC Groningen werkten met Oranje onder-17 een vierdaags trainingskamp af in Delden in de voorbereiding naar het EK-kwalificatietoernooi in Georgië (van 14 tot en met 23 oktober). Aanstaande maandag, 7 oktober, wordt de definitieve selectie bekend gemaakt door bondscoach Maarten Stekelenburg.
