FC Groningen TV is vanavond bij de presentatie van Erwin van de Looi en Dick Lukkien als de nieuwe trainers voor de komende twee seizoenen. Daarnaast brengt FCG TV met Michael de Leeuw, Maikel Kieftenbeld en Groby een bezoek aan het kinderziekenhuis van het UMCG in het kader van de noordelijke derby van komende zondag tegen sc Heerenveen. Natuurlijk is er ook een voorbeschouwing op dat duel en een samenvatting van de 'kleine derby' tussen Jong FC Groningen en Jong sc Heerenveen.
Gistermiddag werd Erwin van de Looi gepresenteerd als de nieuwe hoofdtrainer voor de komende twee seizoenen. De opvolger van Robert Maaskant wordt straks geassisteerd door de huidige Beloftentrainer van FC Groningen, Dick Lukkien. FCG TV was bij de presentatie van beide trainers en sprak uiteraard met hen over hun nieuwe aanstelling.
Tijdens de presentatie van Van de Looi en Lukkien brachten Michael de Leeuw, Maikel Kieftenbeld en Groby een bezoek aan het kinderziekenhuis van het UMCG in Groningen. Ze deden dat samen met oud-FC Groningen speler Arnold Kruiswijk, Marten de Roon en Heero van sc Heerenveen. Dit in het kader van de derby van zondag tussen beide noordelijke eredivisieclubs. Het werd een erg dankbaar bezoek. Vooral Groby bleek populair te zijn bij de zieke kinderen en het ziekenhuispersoneel.
FC Groningen en sc Heerenveen treffen elkaar zondag voor de 25e keer in een officiële wedstrijd in Groningen. FC Groningen won negen van de thuiswedstrijden, waaronder die op 13 januari 2006 toen Heerenveen tijdens de opening van Euroborg met 2-0 werd verslagen. Het was het enige duel dat Rasmus Lindgren dat seizoen ontbrak bij FC Groningen. Hij was die avond geschorst. Samen met de Zweed kijkt FCG TV vooruit naar zondag. Ook Mitchell Schet komt aan het woord over de derby van het noorden.
Afgelopen dinsdag speelden Jong FC Groningen en Jong sc Heerenveen al de ‘kleine derby van het noorden’. De topper in de Beloftencompetitie werd met 3-2 gewonnen door Heerenveen waardoor Jong FC Groningen alleen nog een theoretische kans maakt op het kampioenschap. In FCG TV is een uitgebreide samenvatting van het duel te zien met reacties van trainer Dick Lukkien en doelpuntenmaker Paco van Moorsel.
Let op: FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 17.55 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 2. Daarna is FCG TV om 22.50 uur te zien op EL 2. Zaterdag is de herhaling om 08.35 uur op EL 1.
FC Groningen TV is zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV. De uitzending op de lokale omroep van Groningen begint om 15.30 uur, waarna het tot 9.00 uur in de ochtend wordt herhaald.
