FC Groningen TV staat vanavond, hoe kan het ook anders, geheel in het teken van FC Groningen - Feyenoord. De historische 6-0 zege wordt uitgebreid belicht met uiteraard veel aandacht voor de fraaie doelpunten. Met doelpuntenmakers Dusan Tadic, Maikel Kieftenbeld en Petter Andersson wordt nog eens teruggeblikt op de bijzondere middag.
Essent Man of the Match Virgil van Dijk wist zondag de vijfde treffer te maken voor de FC. Hij laat zijn eerste goal van dit seizoen nog eens de revue passeren als hij hoort dat hij door de FC-fans is gekozen als de beste man van het veld.
Voorafgaande aan FC Groningen – Feyenoord werden de Tonny van Leeuwen Tribune en Koeman Tribune onthuld, De zoon van Tonny van Leeuwen, Harold, overhandigde bij de onthulling de Tonny van Leeuwen Trofee uit 1971 aan FC Groningen. Tonny van Leeuwen won na het seizoen 1970/1971 de trofee als minst gepasseerde keeper van Nederland.
De familie Van Leeuwen en de Koemannen kregen als herinnering aan de onthullingen een speciaal cadeau. Ronald Koeman ontving dit uit handen van een Groninger topsporter die ondanks zijn afkomst supporter is van Feyenoord: wielrenner Bauke Mollema.
FC Groningen – Feyenoord was in alle opzichten en feestelijke dag, want in de pauze kregen de FC-supporters eindelijk de kans om afscheid te nemen van Tim Matavz. De topscorer van de FC van de afgelopen twee seizoenen werd hartstochtelijk toegejuicht en kreeg een bijzonder aandenken van een grote fan.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1. De herhalingen zijn te zien op Eredivisie Live 2 om 19.00 uur, 21.00 uur en 23.00 uur. Woensdag wordt FC Groningen TV om 08.40 uur en 13.20 uur herhaald op EL 1.
