Jong FC Groningen heeft woensdagmiddag in Almelo een vriendschappelijke wedstrijd tegen Jong Heracles met 3-2 gewonnen. Proefspelers Chevello de Rijp (AZ) en Thomas Kanza (Elinkwijk) maakten hun opwachting.
Driemaal kwam de FC op voorsprong in het Polman Stadion. Na de gelijkmaker van de thuisploeg in Almelo stond de 1-1 ruststand op de borden. In de tweede helft maakte Pepijn Kluin 1-2 namens Jong FC Groningen. Vervolgens werd het wederom gelijk, voordat Pepijn Kluin met zijn tweede doelpunt ook de 2-3 aantekende.
Opstelling Jong FC Ter Wielen, Kunst, Werkman, Van Erkel, Tripsas, Menting, Wagenaar, Kanza, Ben Moussa; Kluin, De Rijp. Invallers: Nienhuis, Pomstra, Da Silva Ferreira, De Jonge Rosa, Van Hezel.
Twee proefspelers De Rijp (20) is op proef bij Jong FC Groningen omdat hij bij AZ niet de stap lijkt te kunnen maken naar het eerste team. Hij is afkomstig van AFC en speelde afgelopen seizoen een halfjaar bij Telstar. Dit seizoen maakt hij onderdeel uit van de selectie van Jong AZ.
Kanza (19) is afkomstig van Elinkwijk en speelde tussen 2002 en 2007 in de jeugopleiding van de PSV. Vervolgens speelde hij in de jeugd van FC Den Bosch en dit seizoen is de aanvallende middenvelder actief voor de amateurs Elinkwijk.
