FC Groningen TV heeft vanavond een terugblik op de eerste thuiswedstrijd van dit seizoen, tegen Willem II. De uitzending begint om 18.00 uur op Eredivisie Live 1.
Het was afgelopen weekend één van de warmste weekeinden uit de historie. En dat was te merken in en rond Euroborg waar het zondag aan het begin van de middag heet was. Gelukkig hadden de supporters zich er goed op gekleed en zich goed voorbereid. FCG TV peilde vooraf de stemming bij de toeschouwers over het weer en de verwachting van dit nieuwe seizoen.
Het duel tegen Willem II eindigde in 1-1 en dat was voor iedereen in en rond FC Groningen een teleurstelling. FCG TV sprak na afloop met Mitchell Schet, Género Zeefuik en Virgil van Dijk. Allen waren het er over eens: er had meer in gezeten dan een gelijkspel.
De enige FC Groningen speler die na afloop in de prijzen viel was David Texeira. De doelpuntenmaker was via SMS door de supporters gekozen tot Essent Man of the Match. Texeira was blij met de uitverkiezing en dankte de FC fans voor het vertrouwen dat ze in hem schonken.
Over tien dagen is de zomertransferwindow verstreken. Het is dus nog mogelijk dat de selectie van FC Groningen zal worden aangepast. FC Groningen-directeur Hans Nijland gaat in FCG TV vanavond in op de transferontwikkelingen binnen FC Groningen.
Jong FC Groningen verraste gisteravond in positieve zin door in Amsterdam knap met 0-0 gelijk te spelen bij Jong Ajax. Mede dankzij goed keeperswerk van Stefan van der Lei slaagden de Beloften erin een punt mee te nemen naar Groningen, waardoor de ploeg van trainer Dick Lukkien op een tweede plaats staat in Poule A van de Beloftencompetitie.
Let op: FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1. De herhaling is om 19.00 uur, 21.00 uur en 23.00 uur te zien op EL 2. Morgen wordt FCG TV om 08.15 uur en 13.10 uur herhaald op EL 1.
