Middenvelder Koen van de Laak heeft in het herstel van zijn enkelblessure een tegenslag te verwerken gekregen. Na de wedstrijd van afgelopen zaterdag heeft hij toch weer last gekregen van het gewricht. Komende zondag zal hij daardoor niet bij de selectie zitten voor het duel met RKC Waalwijk.
Van de Laak viel op 20 januari in de thuiswedstrijd tegen Heerenveen uit met een enkelkwetsuur en werkte vervolgens aan zijn herstel. Zijn conditie is prima in orde, maar bij het spelen van wedstrijden blijkt de enkel toch nog een reactie te geven. Het is in deze situatie niet verstandig een risico te nemen en dus is besloten Van de Laak deze week niet op te nemen in de selectie voor het duel met RKC Waalwijk.
De aanvoerder zelf over de ontstane situatie: “Het is voor mij persoonlijk een tegenvaller. Ik had gehoopt komend weekend inzetbaar te zijn. Het is nu de bedoeling dat ik eerst volledig herstel, voor ik weer wedstrijden ga spelen. Ik moet dus nog even langer geduld hebben.”
