Woensdagmiddag is er een Talentendag gehouden in Delfzijl op de sportvelden van Eems Boys. Kinderen uit de hele regio konden zich hiervoor gratis aanmelden en kregen een training. Hierbij waren scouts aanwezig om de jongens te beoordelen. Er namen in Delfzijl circa 110 voetballertjes deel aan de Talentendag.
De Regionale Talentendagen van RVO FC Groningen/Cambuur zijn bestemd voor veldspelers en keepers uit de omgeving van de organiserende clubs, in dit geval dus bij Eems Boys. Trainingsvormen Tijdens een Talentenmiddag werken de spelers trainingsvormen en partijspelen af tegen jongens uit hetzelfde geboortejaar. Keepers worden tijdens de middag bij het eerste gedeelte onderworpen aan keepersoefeningen en sluiten vervolgens aan bij de partijspelen.
Jongens geboren in het jaar 2000, 2001 en 2002 kunnen zich aanmelden voor de dichtstbijzijnde locatie. Elke speler mag zich dit seizoen maximaal één keer opgeven. Tijdens de Talentdagen krijgen de D- en E-pupillen een programma van een uur aangeboden.
