De selectie van FC Groningen is zaterdagmiddag uitgezwaaid door zo’n 3.500 fans die zich hadden verzameld bij Euroborg.
Tegen half zes kwamen de spelers en staf naar buiten en namen ze de tijd om de honderden bij het spelershome aanwezige supporters te bedanken voor hun komst. Vervolgens reed de bus stapvoets tussen twee tractoren van de BoerenBox rondom het stadion, langs de hoofdingang en de FanCorner richting de ringweg.
In totaal stonden liefst 3.500 FC-fans rondom Euroborg om hun ploeg uit te zwaaien. Exact een etmaal later zullen de spelers bezig zijn aan hun warming-up in De Kuip. Komende nacht verblijft de selectie in een hotel op een prettige reisafstand van het Stadion Feijenoord.
