Ein-de-lijk mochten de supporters weer het stadion in. Hoewel het ‘slechts’ een oefenwedstrijd betrof tegen Venezia, was er spanning vrijdag 6 augustus voelbaar. Na bijna een jaar weer terug naar Euroborg, genieten van de voetbalsfeer op de tribunes. In de special ‘Terug naar het stadion’ laat FC Groningen zien dat zowel de supporters als de organisatie van de club elkaar ontzettend hebben gemist en toeleven naar de wedstrijd. De special is vanaf nu terug te kijken op YouTube.
Het is voor iedereen even wennen, Euroborg gaat met supporters echt weer leven op een wedstrijddag. Een stadionbezoek wordt ervaren als een uitje, eindelijk weer kunnen genieten van de atmosfeer, de spanning en de gehele beleving van het evenement.
De Trots van het Noorden vindt het prachtig haar trouwe achterban eindelijk weer te mogen ontvangen in Euroborg. Fokke en Anneke zijn twee supporters die al jaren iedere thuiswedstrijd trouw vanuit woonplaats Haren naar het stadion gaan. Het FC-uitje dat ze zo lang hebben moeten missen. De oefenwedstrijd tegen Venezia is de eerste keer in bijna een jaar en dat brengt wedstrijdspanning met zich mee.
In deze special wordt vanuit verschillende invalshoeken naar het oefenduel met Venezia FC toegeleefd. FC Groningen Horeca ontvangt haar supporters op een zo goed mogelijke manier. Hoewel het door de huidige coronarichtlijnen nog niet mogelijk is de supporters op de gastvrije wijze te ontvangen waar de Trots van het Noorden voor staat, zetten de medewerkers van FC Groningen Horeca zich volledig in om de glimlach bij supporters te creëren. Ook wordt de terugkeer van supporters in het stadion vanuit de ogen van algemeen directeur Wouter Gudde beleefd.
Spelen met supporters op de tribune is ook voor Wessel Dammers iets waar hij lang naar heeft uitgekeken. Het geeft de ploeg extra energie en daarnaast heeft het voor de verdediger van de FC ook sociale voordelen. Dammers kijkt net als iedereen bij FC Groningen ongelooflijk uit naar de support vanaf de tribunes.
Vanaf nu is de special ook terug te kijken op het YouTube-kanaal van FC Groningen.
