Laros Duarte is een geboren voetballer en doet er alles aan om het maximale uit zijn carrière te halen. De middenvelder van FC Groningen komt uit een echte voetbalfamilie. In de special ‘Laros Duarte: geboren voetballer’ gaat FC Groningen met Duarte terug naar de pleintjes waar zijn voetballeven begon. De special is vanaf nu te zien op YouTube.
Laros Duarte kwam afgelopen zomer over van Sparta. De transfer naar FC Groningen bleek een schot in de roos. Inmiddels heeft de Nederlander met Kaapverdische roots al 26 officiële wedstrijden in het groen-wit op zijn naam staan en is hij uitgegroeid tot één van de smaakmakers in Euroborg.
In de special neemt Duarte de kijker mee naar Spangen (Rotterdam) en Schiedam. Daar groeide hij op en was de middenvelder iedere dag te vinden op pleintjes en trapveldjes. Afkomstig uit een echte voetbalfamilie, werd het voetbal hem met de paplepel in gegoten.
Via de jeugdopleiding van Sparta, PSV en vervolgens weer de Kasteelclub, komt Laros Duarte terecht in Groningen, waar al snel opvalt hoe zeer de rechtspoot bezig is met zijn sport.
