FC Groningen maakte op 26 januari van dit jaar bekend dat Frank Wormuth de komende drie seizoenen hoofdtrainer is van de Trots van het Noorden. De Duitse oefenmeester begon officieel op 1 juli aan zijn nieuwe klus en kijkt in de special ‘De eerste 100 dagen van Frank Wormuth’ terug op de start van zijn periode als hoofdtrainer bij FC Groningen. De special was eerder te zien op ESPN en is vanaf vandaag terug te kijken op YouTube.
In de special ‘De eerste 100 dagen van Frank Wormuth’ krijgt de supporter een uniek kijkje achter de schermen. Vanaf het moment dat Wormuth officieel wordt gepresenteerd, tot ruim honderd dagen later wanneer het eerste deel van de competitie wordt afgesloten. Aan de hand van de trainer wordt duidelijk waaraan wordt gewerkt en dat FC Groningen zich in een proces bevindt dat niet van de ene op de andere dag kan veranderen. Het gaat verder dan alleen het spel op de groene grasmat. Hoewel resultaten tot op heden als wisselvallig mogen worden beschouwd, zijn er degelijk verschillen en vorderingen te zien.
