Onlangs was het kinderprogramma Zappsport te gast bij FC Groningen. Een vast onderdeel van het TROS-jeugdprogramma is het oplossen van een ‘voetbalprobleem’ van een kind. In de uitzending van zondagmiddag helpt Mitchell Schet Thomas Duker van Veendam 1894 E2.
Thomas meldde zich onlangs aan de hand van presentator Ron Boszhard samen met zijn vader en opa in Euroborg. De uit Veendam afkomstige E-pupil slaagde er maar niet in in wedstrijden van zijn team na een passeerbeweging vanuit de loop een goede voorzet te geven. Het linksbenige vleugelspelertje vroeg Zappsport om hulp bij het oplossen van zijn ‘voetbalprobleem’. De makers van het jeugdprogramma klopten vervolgens bij FC Groningen aan en op die manier werd Mitchell Schet ingeschakeld. Tips Zondagmiddag is rond 17.00 uur op de Nederland 3 te zien hoe vleugelaanvaller Schet, die daarbij wordt geholpen door Lorenzo Burnet, de jonge Thomas tips geeft om tot een goed voorzet te komen.
