Jeroen Manschot is zondagmiddag voor de vijfde keer arbiter in Groningen. In de vier voorgaande officiële duels onder leiding van de 34-jarige scheidsrechter uit Houten bleef FC Groningen op eigen bodem ongeslagen.
In totaal hanteerde Manschot tot dusver vijf keer de fluit bij wedstrijden van de Trots van het Noorden. De laatste keer was vorig seizoen in Den Haag, waar FC Groningen een inhaalrace na een 4-0 achterstand ternauwernood zag stranden: 4-3 verlies tegen ADO. Het was de enige nederlaag in de enige uitwedstrijd onder leiding van Manschot tot nu toe.
Debuut
Manschot debuteerde in Groningen eveneens in een wedstrijd van de FC tegen ADO Den Haag en wel op 1 maart 2015 (1-1). Daarna volgden in het Noordlease Stadion overwinningen tegen respectievelijk PEC Zwolle (2-0) en De Graafschap (3-1). Het laatste thuisduel waarbij Manschot arbitreerde, was vorig seizoen op 21 januari. FC Groningen – Vitesse eindigde toen in 1-1.
FC Groningen – FC Utrecht begint zondagmiddag om 16.45 uur. Supporters wordt aangeraden op tijd richting het stadion te komen in verband met veranderde verkeerssituaties onderweg.
