In FC Groningen TV is vanavond de samenvatting te zien van het oefenduel van donderdagavond tegen het Spaanse Osasuna. FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1.
Ruim een week voor de start van de nieuwe competitie speelde FC Groningen met 2-2 gelijk tegen de ploeg uit Pamplona. Twee keer kwam de FC in Rolde op achterstand maar ook twee keer wist de Trots van het Noorden weer langszij te komen. Voor FC Groningen maakte Género Zeefuik zijn eerste doelpunt tijdens de voorbereiding. De andere Groninger treffer werd gemaakt door Virgil van Dijk. Onder andere keeper Luciano da Silva en de nieuwe aanvoerder Kees Kwakman reageren in FCG TV op het gelijkspel tegen Osasuna.
Met Marco Bizot en Stefan van der Lei heeft FC Groningen twee nieuwe keepers in de eerste selectie. Bizot is overgenomen van Ajax, Van der Lei is afkomstig uit de A1 van FC Groningen. Ze zijn de opvolgers van respectievelijk Brian van Loo en Agil Etemadi. Eind juni ging FC Groningen TV alvast op pad met beide jonge doelmannen voor een kennismaking. FCG TV bezocht Bizot in Leeuwarden, de stad waar hij vorig seizoen op huurbasis nog uitkwam voor Cambuur. Van der Lei was te gast bij een haring- en netwerkparty van Martinisport en trof daar oud-international en topkeeper Hans van Breukelen.
Een van de hoogtepunten van de voorbereiding van FC Groningen was zoals altijd weer de Open Dag. Op zondag 15 juli kwamen er 22.000 FC Groningen fans naar Euroborg om daar kennis te maken met de nieuwe trainer en spelers en om met ze op de foto te gaan. Tijdens de Open Dag speelde Oud FC Groningen een wedstrijd tegen een team van supporters en sponsors van de FC. Bij Oud FC kwamen onder anderen Peter Houtman en Martin Drent in actie. Henk de Haan pakte de microfoon van FCG TV en keek met Houtman en Drent alvast vooruit naar het komende seizoen van het huidige FC Groningen.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1. De herhalingen zijn om 19.00 uur, 21.00 uur en 23.00 uur te zien op EL 2.
Voor de liefhebbers is er morgen, zaterdag 4 augustus, een special van FC Groningen TV te zien met de hoogtepunten uit de eerste twee seizoenen uit FCG TV. De special wordt om 13.15 uur uitgezonden op EL 1. De herhaling is om 22.40 uur, ook op EL 1.
