In FC Groningen TV is vanavond, dinsdag 7 augustus, onder meer een samenvatting te zien van de laatste wedstrijd uit de oefencampagne van FC Groningen. De uitzending begint om 18.00 uur op Eredivisie Live 1.
Afgelopen zondag won FC Groningen in Roden met 4-1 van SC Veendam en lijkt daarmee klaar voor de start, komende zondag, van de competitie in Enschede tegen FC Twente. Trainer Robert Maaskant is in elk geval tevreden over hoe de voorbereiding van zijn ploeg is verlopen.
Tijdens die voorbereiding nam Maaskant de spelersgroep mee naar de Eemshaven waar de selectie op bijzondere wijze werkte aan teambuilding. Snelle boten en natte voeten waren een paar van de ingrediënten waar de spelers van de FC mee te maken kregen. Met hulp van supersnelle rubberboten moesten de spelers zo snel mogelijk naar het Duitse Waddeneiland Borkum varen. Aanleggen van de boten mocht niet want ze moesten uiteindelijk wadlopend het eiland zien te bereiken. En daarbij hielden de spelers van de FC het niet droog. FC Groningen speelde diverse oefenwedstrijden tijdens de oefenperiode waaronder een in Duitsland waar Kickers Emden de tegenstander was. Voor Atilay Batbay was het een speciaal duel omdat hij bij de tegenstander zijn broer trof. Beloften-speler Batbay is afkomstig uit de jeugd van Kickers Emden en mocht de laatste tien minuten meedoen tegen zijn voormalige club. Het oefenduel werd met 4-1 gewonnen en dat was voor ruim 600 meegereisde FC-fans een mooie afsluiter van een ‘Europese wedstrijd’.
Twee dagen voor de wedstrijd tegen Kickers Emden vond in Euroborg de traditionele fotodag plaats. De gehele selectie ging op de foto, zowel individueel als groep. Voor FC Groningen TV was het een mooi moment om kennis te maken met Género Zeefuik, de nieuwe spits van FC Groningen.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1. De herhaling is om 20.00 uur, 22.00 uur en 00.00 uur te zien op EL2. Morgen, woensdag 8 augustus, is FCG TV terug te kijken op EL1 om 08.55 uur en 13.30 uur.
Voor de liefhebbers wordt er woensdag ook een special van FC Groningen TV uitgezonden met de hoogtepunten uit de eerste twee seizoenen uit FCG TV. De special wordt om 15.30 uur vertoond op EL1.
