Vanavond, woensdag 13 april, is om 19.30 uur op Fox Sports kanaal 1 de première te zien van de Fox Sports Doc ‘Het zit in de genen: de broers Bacuna’. De documentaire gaat over de voetballende broers Johnsen, Leandro en Juninho Bacuna.
In de documentaire komt Johnsen Bacuna uitgebreid aan het woord. Johnsen is de oudste en de minst bekende van de drie broers. Hij voetbalde van zijn elfde tot zijn vijftiende in de jeugd van sc Heerenveen, maar wist het betaalde voetbal niet te halen. Nu scoort hij bijna wekelijks in het shirt van zaterdag-eerste klasser VV Berkum uit Zwolle. Johnsen woont in Utrecht, is huisvader en misschien wel de grootste fan van zijn broers Leandro en Juninho. De doc laat zien waarom Leandro en Juninho op jonge leeftijd wél via FC Groningen wisten door te breken in het betaalde voetbal en Johnsen niet. Diverse personen Diverse personen komen aan het woord over de drie voetballende broers, zoals hun ouders John en Lucille Bacuna, de oud-jeugdtrainers Erik Muntendam, Peter Moltmaker en Peter Hoekstra, voormalig hoofd jeugdopleidingen van FC Groningen Peter Jeltema, ex-FC Groningen-trainer Ron Jans, huidig FC-coach Erwin van de Looi en vv Berkum-trainer Willem Brouwer.
Daarnaast vertelt FC Groningen-jeugdscout Bart Straatman wanneer hij Leandro Bacuna voor het eerst zag spelen en dat hij meteen overtuigd was dat Leandro het betaalde voetbal zou halen. De doc ‘Het zit in de genen: de broers Bacuna’ bevat unieke beelden uit de jeugd van Leandro en Juninho, die als klein jongetje altijd aanwezig was bij de wedstrijden van broer Leandro. Uitzendingen De Fox Sports Doc ‘Het zit in de genen: de broers Bacuna’ wordt woensdag 13 april om 19.30 uur uitgezonden op Fox Sports kanaal 1 en is woensdag tevens te zien om 22.00 uur op kanaal 1 en om 23.00 uur op kanaal 5. Donderdag en vrijdag is de doc om 18.00 uur te zien op kanaal 5, zaterdag om 23.30 uur op kanaal 1, zondag om 20.30 uur op kanaal 3, maandag om 23.00 uur op kanaal 5 en dinsdag 19 april om 16.00 uur op kanaal 1.
