Paulos Abrahamwas vrijdagmiddag te gast tijdens FC Groningen de Warming-up. Met de Zweedse aanvaller, die vorig seizoen overkwam van AIK, werd vanuit de Word Groter Studio in Euroborg vooruitgeblikt op de thuiswedstrijd tegen Fortuna Sittard. De uitzending is terug te zien op het YouTube-kanaal van de Trots van het Noorden.
Paulos Abraham is bezig aan zijn eerste volledige seizoen bij FC Groningen, waarin hij tot dusver achttien wedstrijden meespeelde waarvan zestien in de Eredivisie. De aanvaller is jeugdinternational van Zweden en heeft de laatste weken een basisplaats veroverd in het team van trainer Danny Buijs.
Abraham was met meerdere assists de laatste weken belangrijk bij goals van FC Groningen. De jonge aanvaller besliste vorig seizoen het treffen met Fortuna Sittard in Euroborg door een doelpunt in de tweede helft, 1-0. Abraham kwam direct na rust als ingevaller binnen de lijnen en was vijf minuten later trefzeker. Een bekeken steekbal van Tomas Suslov werd fraai afgerond door de Zweed, zijn eerste doelpunt voor de club.
Behalve het gesprek met Abraham delen oud-speler Kurt Elshot en voorzitter van de Supportersvereniging FC Groningen John de Jonge in een battle hun ideeën over het duel met Fortuna Sittard. Beide mannen waren positief voorafgaand aan het duel van vorige week met Go Ahead Eagles en dat werd uitbetaald. Wat zeggen ze over komende wedstrijd? Zijn de net zo eensgezind?
