Zo’n 160 kinderen hebben woensdagmiddag het Spelershome van FC Groningen in Euroborg bezocht. De leden van de FC Groningen Junior Club waren exclusief uitgenodigd voor een handtekeningenmiddag met spelers en staf van de Trots van het Noorden.
Tussen 13.00 uur en 14.00 uur passeerden bijna tweehonderd mensen (inclusief ouders/begeleiders) de toegangsdeur tot ‘de huiskamer’ van de spelers van FC Groningen in Euroborg: het Spelershome. Daar zaten – op Nick van der Velden na – alle selectiespelers te wachten op de ongeduldige en nieuwsgierige kinderen. Van der Velden is de kersverse vader geworden van een dochter en was vandaag (woensdag – red.) om die reden niet op de club. Bijzondere attributen De kinderen die zich voor de handtekeningenmiddag hadden opgegeven, kwamen net als in voorgaande jaren opnieuw met de meest bijzondere attributen aanzetten, waarop zij de handtekening van hun favoriet(en) wilden. Sommige jongens en meisjes trokken kledingstukken uit om die te laten signeren, anderen klommen zelfs op de tafels om een handtekening op een T-shirt of ledemaat te laten zetten. Voor trainers en spelers allemaal geen probleem. Met een lach en een praatje werden alle kinderen op de wenken bediend. Er was voor hen die dat wilden bovendien ruimte voor het maken van (individuele) foto’s. Geslaagd Al met al was de handtekeningenmiddag wederom geslaagd. Binnen alle deelname mogelijkheden, die de FC Groningen Junior Club exclusief aan haar leden biedt, behoort de handtekeningenmiddag nog altijd tot één van de favoriete activiteiten.
