Het is nog niet bekend welke blessure Henk Bos afgelopen zaterdag bij de eerste oefenwedstrijd van FC Groningen in Uithuizen heeft opgelopen. De 20-jarige aanvaller ging vandaag (maandag –red.) naar het ziekenhuis van Assen, maar daar werd de geplande MRI-scan tot woensdag uitgesteld.
De reden voor het uitstellen van het onderzoek is dat er nog te veel vocht in de linkerknie van Bos zit. Hierdoor is het nog niet mogelijk een betrouwbaar beeld te krijgen van de opgelopen knieblessure. Brancard Bos stond afgelopen zaterdag amper een kwartier binnen de lijnen in de tweede helft van FC Groningens oefenwedstrijd tegen RWE Eemsmond (eindstand 0-15) toen hij na een actie in het strafschopgebied geblesseerd naar de grond ging. De uit de eigen jeugdopleiding afkomstige Bos kreeg aan de achterlijn op het veld van Noordpool-UFC enkele minuten eerste hulp van de medische staf, maar moest uiteindelijk per brancard van het veld worden gedragen.
Trainer Erwin van de Looi liet na afloop weten dat het altijd ernstig is als een speler op die manier van het veld moet, maar dat hij nog niet vooruit kon en wilde lopen op de aard van de blessure van Bos. In Assen kon men ook vandaag dus nog niet veel wijzer worden.
