Noordhoff Uitgevers brengt met de Bosatlas van het Nederlandse voetbal de Nederlandse voetbalinfrastructuur in detail in kaart. Meer dan 200 pagina's vol met verrassende feiten, kaarten en afbeeldingen beschrijven de veelzijdigheid en ontwikkeling van 'ons voetbal' tot volkssport nummer één. De Bosatlas van het Nederlandse voetbal is tot stand gekomen in samenwerking met de betaald voetbalclubs, Eredivisie CV, Coöperatie Eerste Divisie en KNVB.
Er is geen sport die letterlijk en figuurlijk zo dicht bij de Nederlander staat. Van alle inwoners in Nederland woont bijna 94 procent maximaal drie kilometer van een voetbalveld. Naast de duizenden voetbalvelden zijn er in ons land ruim 150 voetbalstraatnamen, reizen profclubs jaarlijks meer dan 150.000 kilometer om hun wedstrijden te spelen en is voetbal uitgegroeid tot een belangrijk exportproduct. Zo stonden de laatste 20 jaar circa 2.000 Nederlandse voetballers onder contract in het buitenland, terwijl ruim 800 trainers hun expertise deelden met een buitenlandse club of bond.
Van straat tot veld, van supporter tot speler, van club tot stadion en van competitie tot mondiale voetbalbond. In de Bosatlas van het Nederlandse voetbal kom je alles over de voetbalwereld te weten. Ook de 18 Eredivisieclubs en Eredivisie lopen als een rode draad door alle hoofdstukken: van sportieve prestaties, clubmascottes, clubliederen, maatschappelijke activiteiten tot aan de bereikbaarheid van stadions.
Directies Eredivisieclubs nemen eerste exemplaren in ontvangst
Directies van de 18 Eredivisieclubs hebben donderdag 16 november voor aanvang van de Vergadering van Vennoten van de Eredivisie CV de eerste exemplaren in ontvangst genomen. Jacco Swart, directeur Eredivisie CV, is enthousiast over de Bosatlas. “De Bosatlas van het Nederlandse voetbal laat een prachtig beeld zien van onze grootste sport aan de hand van bijzondere invalshoeken en verrassende feiten. Dit alles gepresenteerd in de karakteristieke Bosatlasstijl en voorzien van schitterende kaarten, foto's en infographics. De essentie van het Nederlandse voetballandschap is erg mooi in beeld gebracht en goed dat zowel de clubs als de Eredivisie hier een belangrijke steen aan hebben bijgedragen.”
