Afgelopen zaterdag gingen er vanuit Groningen 2 dubbeldekkers met Junior Club en GWB leden richting Amsterdam voor de FanTour. Hier speelde Ajax tegen FC Groningen in de Amsterdam Arena.
Tijdens de busreis naar Amsterdam werden de leden goed verzorgd door de begeleiders. Regelmatig kregen ze iets te drinken en iets lekkers aangeboden. Ook werd er een quiz gespeeld waarbij de winnaar een sjaal kon winnen. En na een dvd’tje gezien te hebben, kwamen de bussen mooi op tijd aan bij de Arena.
Om kwart voor negen begon eindelijk de wedstrijd. FC Groningen startte de wedstrijd fel en kon de opbouw van Ajax aardig onder druk zetten. In de dertiende minuut werd het even spannend toen Ajax speler Derk Boerrigter onderuit gehaald werd door Virgil van Dijk. De scheidrechter besloot de actie van Van Dijk te bestraffen met een strafschop. Gelukkig wist Luciano te voorkomen dat de bal in het doel belandde. Helaas kon hij niet voorkomen dat Ajax een paar minuten later alsnog tot scoren kwam. Ruststand was 1-0.
In de tweede helft kreeg Ajax weer een strafschop toen Kees Kwakman Ajax speler De Jong vasthield binnen het zestienmetergebied. Deze keer schoot Lasse Schöne wel raak: 2-0. In de slot fase werd er nog twee keer op het doel geschoten door Ajax. Eén keer raakte de bal de lat en vervolgens ging de bal net naast. De eindstand was daarmee 2-0.
Komende zaterdag, 15 december, speelt FC Groningen in stadion Euroborg tegen VVV Venlo.
De elf kinderen die met een FC Groningen speler het veld mochten betreden zijn: Milan Koerts, Rudy Reitsema, Lukas Scholtmeijer, Wouter Westerdiep, Thijs Dumas, Joost de Groote, Daniel Krasniqi, Leon Hovenkamp, Bas de Groot, Youri Tepper en Chiel Kuiper.
