Mimoun Mahi, Ajdin Hrustic en Juninho Bacuna zijn opgenomen in de voorselecties van respectievelijk Marokko, Australië en Jong Oranje. Ook Tom van de Looi, Daniël van Kaam, Lars Kramer en Kolbeinn Finnsson zijn opgenomen in voorselecties van jeugdteams.
Mimoun Mahi zit in de voorselectie voor de WK-kwalificatiewedstrijden Marokko-Mali en Mali-Marokko van respectievelijk vrijdag 1 en dinsdag 5 september. Mahi werd afgelopen juni voor het eerst opgeroepen voor zijn vaderland, maar maakte nog niet zijn debuut.
Ajdin Hrustic heeft een voorlopige uitnodiging binnen voor de WK-kwalificatiewedstrijden Japan-Australië van donderdag 31 augustus en Australië-Thailand van dinsdag 5 september. Hij behoort niet tot de definitieve selectie van 23 spelers, maar dient zich wel standby te houden voor het tweeluik. Hrustic maakte enkele maanden geleden zijn debuut voor Jong Australië en later ook voor de Socceroos.
Juninho Bacuna werd geselecteerd voor Jong Oranje. Bondscoach Art Langeler maakt vrijdag 25 augustus de definitieve ploeg bekend voor Nederland-Engeland van vrijdag 1 september en Schotland-Nederland van dinsdag 5 september. Mocht Bacuna afvallen, speelt hij tussen 28 augustus en 4 september met Oranje onder-20 tegen Engeland en Portugal.
Tom van de Looi en Lars Kramer van FC Groningen onder-23 horen bij de voorlopige selectie van Oranje onder-19 dat deelneemt aan een vierlandentoernooi in Finland, waaraan naast het gastland ook België en Portugal deelnemen.
Daniël van Kaam is voorlopig geselecteerd voor Oranje onder-18 dat vrijdag 1 en maandag 4 september speelt in en tegen Denemarken. Kolbeinn Finnsson behoort tot de selectie van IJsland onder-19 dat op zaterdag 2 en maandag 4 september oefent in en tegen Wales.
