FC Groningen TV heeft vanavond reacties van de betrokkenen op het feit dat trainer Robert Maaskant en FC Groningen na dit seizoen niet met elkaar verder gaan. Daarnaast is er een terugblik op FC Groningen - NAC Breda met Essent Man of the Match Maikel Kieftenbeld en Rasmus Lindgren en komt de jury bijeen om de drie finalisten van de fansjaalactie te kiezen.
Maandagmiddag maakte FC Groningen bekend dat trainer Robert Maaskant en de club na dit seizoen uit elkaar gaan. Het was de uitkomst van een gesprek die maandagochtend op initiatief van Maaskant plaatsvond. In FCG TV komen Maaskant, algemeen directeur Hans Nijland en aanvoerder Kees Kwakman aan het woord over de genomen beslissing.
Voorafgaande aan FC Groningen – NAC Breda zwaaiden elf E-pupillen van SV Yde De Punt op het veld van Euroborg met FC Groningen vlaggen. De wapperaars stonden rond het middencirkelshirt van Essent in het kader van het Amateurconvenant. FCG TV zocht de wapperaars van SV Yde De Punt voor de wedstrijd op en constateerde dat van enige nervositeit bij de jonge voetballers geen sprake was.
FC Groningen speelde vrijdagavond met 1-1 gelijk tegen NAC Breda. Maikel Kieftenbeld werd verkozen tot Essent Man of the Match, mede dankzij een fenomenaal doelpunt. Net als Rasmus Lindgren vond Kieftenbeld na afloop dat FC Groningen met een punt veel te weinig had gekregen.
Vanaf vandaag kunnen de FC Groningen supporters kiezen uit drie ontwerpen van FC Groningen sjaals die de afgelopen weken zijn ingestuurd door de deelnemers aan de fansjaalactie. Een deskundige jury bestaande uit Tim Sparv (vanuit de spelersgroep), Daniëlle Asmawidjaja (vanuit de afdeling Merchandise) en Nico Swart (vanuit de Supportersvereniging FC Groningen) koos uit de vele inzendingen de drie finalisten. FCG TV volgde het beraad op de voet al mocht de camera van de strenge jury niet alles registreren.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1. De herhaling is te zien op EL 2 om 19.00 uur, 21.00 uur en 23.00 uur. Woensdag wordt FCG TV om 08.30 uur en 13.15 uur herhaald op EL 1.
FC Groningen TV is zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV. De uitzending op de lokale omroep van Groningen begint om 15.30 uur waarna het tot 09.00 uur in de ochtend wordt herhaald.
