FC Groningen TV heeft vandaag veel aandacht voor de succesvolle week van FC Groningen met de zeges op AZ en FC Twente. Bryan Linssen, Mimoun Mahi, Hedwiges Maduro en Sergio Padt kijken terug op twee overwinningen. Daarnaast blikken Erwin van de Looi en Maduro vooruit naar de ontmoeting van zaterdag met Ajax.
Met twee zeges kan FC Groningen terugkijken op een geslaagde week. Zondag werd AZ met 2-0 verslagen, woensdag bereikte FC Groningen de volgende ronde van de KNVB-Beker door met 2-1 te winnen van FC Twente. FCG TV kijkt terug op beide duels met Bryan Linssen, Mimoun Mahi, Hedwiges Maduro en Sergio Padt. Daarnaast vertellen Linssen, Maduro en Padt hoe zij omgaan met het ritme van twee wedstrijden in de week en gaat trainer Erwin van de Looi in op de keuzes die hij maakt wat betreft het opstellen van spelers.
Komende zaterdag komt FC Groningen opnieuw in actie als de ploeg van Van de Looi op bezoek gaat bij koploper Ajax. Voor Maduro is het een speciale wedstrijd want hij speelde van 2004 tot 2008 bij de Amsterdammers. Nooit eerder speelde hij tegen zijn oude club dus zaterdag zal de eerste keer zijn. Maduro ziet kansen op een goed resultaat, net als Van de Looi.
Naast bovenstaande is er nog een reportage te zien van de opening van de Johan Cruijff University, donderdag op het Zernike Complex in Groningen. Ook spelers van FC Groningen A1 zullen een opleiding gaan volgen op de Johan Cruijff University.
FC Groningen TV wordt vrijdag om 18.15 uur uitgezonden op Fox Sports Eredivisie kanaal 1. De uitzending wordt vrijdagavond om 19.35 uur en 22.45 uur herhaald op kanaal 3 en om 0.15 uur op kanaal 5. Zaterdag is FCG TV te zien om 15.15 uur op kanaal 1 en om 16.15 uur op kanaal 5. Documentaire Komende woensdag 30 september wordt om 22.00 uur op Fox Sports kanaal 1 de Fox Sport Doc ‘Langs de rand van de afgrond’ uitgezonden. In 55 minuten wordt teruggekeken op de totstandkoming van stadion Euroborg. Een traject dat begon in 1996 en op vrijdag 13 januari 2006 werd afgerond met de opening tegen sc Heerenveen. In de tussenliggende jaren bivakkeerde FC Groningen een paar keer aan de rand van een faillissement en scheelde het maar weinig of het nieuwe stadion was er nooit gekomen en FC Groningen had niet meer bestaan. In de documentaire wordt met diverse belangrijke betrokkenen teruggekeken op die soms heftige periode.
FC Groningen TV is elke zaterdag vanaf 15.30 uur ook te zien op OOG TV en via Ziggo kanaal 40 en KPN, Telfort en XS4All kanaal 622. De uitzending wordt doorlopend herhaald tot zondagochtend 9.00 uur.
