Bryan Linssen is geschorst voor de competitiewedstrijd Excelsior-FC Groningen van aanstaande zaterdagavond in de 27ste speelronde van de Eredivisie. Hij kreeg zaterdag zijn vijfde gele kaart van de competitie. Bij Excelsior kreeg aanvoerder Sander Fischer zondag in Alkmaar de rode kaart.
Bryan Linssen kreeg eerder uit bij PSV, thuis tegen Heerenveen, uit bij Vitesse en thuis tegen Cambuur een gele kaart en werd zaterdagavond in Euroborg door scheidsrechter Pol van Boekel genoteerd na een overtreding op Jetro Willems. Zijn vijfde gele kaart betekent automatisch een schorsing van één competitiewedstrijd.
Bij Excelsior haalde aanvoerder Sander Fischer zondag in Alkmaar een doorgebroken speler neer en kreeg hij van arbiter Bas Nijhuis de rode kaart. Tenzij de rode kaart wordt geseponeerd of vrijspraak volgt, zal Fischer zaterdagavond ontbreken in Rotterdam. Een eventueel beroep na een rode kaart heeft namelijk geen ‘opschortende’ werking voor het eerstvolgende officiële duel.
