Rasmus Lindgren speelde zijn 99ste wedstrijd in het groen-witte shirt van FC Groningen. De Zweed maakte na vijf jaar zijn rentree bij de Trots van het Noorden. Lindgren baalde na afloop flink van het verloren duel tegen FC Utrecht.
“Vooraf hoop je natuurlijk op drie punten,” begint Lindgren. “Dan is dit een grote teleurstelling. Voorafgaand aan de penalty leverden we de bal zomaar in. Ook de corner ging er uiteindelijk veel te gemakkelijk in. Zeker omdat we daarvoor bijna niks weggaven, is dat heel zuur.”
De middenvelder, die in de slotfase van de wedstrijd naar de kant werd gehaald, was ook niet tevreden over zijn eigen spel. “Het was niet echt goed en ik moest even wennen. Er waren nog te veel dingen die fout gingen. Het is ook niet zo dat ik super slecht heb gespeeld, maar ik verwacht meer van mezelf.”
