In het sluitstuk van 2012 speelt FC Groningen/Cambuur C1 op Corpus den Hoorn een belangrijke puntenwedstrijd tegen FC Utrecht C1. Voor zowel A1 als C3 staat een bekerduel op het programma.
De tweedejaars C-junioren kennen een moeilijke eerste seizoenshelft en de ploeg van trainer Rick Mulder staat pas op een tiende plaats. Met een overwinning kunnen de mannen echter alsnog met een goed gevoel de winterstop ingaan. Maar dat is niet zo gemakkelijk. In de laatste twee thuisduels scoorde de FC niet en met name het optreden tegen AFC C1 was ronduit teleurstellend. Tegenstander FC Utrecht C1 verloor twee weken geleden bij SC Heerenveen C1 en moet op de ranglijst genoegen nemen met een zevende plaats.
In het bekertoernooi spelen de A-junioren een uitwedstrijd tegen FC Twente A1. Bij winst plaatst het vlaggenschip zich bij de laatste acht. Ook voor de onder-14 ploeg staat een wedstrijd in de knockoutfase op het programma. Drachten C1 is in Friesland de opponent.
