De laatste uitzending van dit seizoen van FC Groningen TV staat voor een groot deel in het teken van vooruit kijken. Want FCG TV was deze week uiteraard aanwezig bij de presentatie van de nieuwe trainer Robert Maaskant en de nieuwe aanwinsten Michael de Leeuw en Mitchell Schet. Maaskant ging na zijn presentatie woensdag in Euroborg meteen door naar Assen waar hij een ontmoeting had met sponsors van FC Groningen die op dat moment in de volle zon aan het golfen waren. De uitzending begint vanavond om 18.00 uur op Eredivisie Live 1.
Paco van Moorsel van FC Den Bosch werd eerder dit jaar al gepresenteerd als nieuwe speler van FC Groningen. Van Moorsel was de afgelopen week nog volop actief in de play-offs voor promotie naar de eredivisie. Hij slaagde er met Den Bosch echter niet in om ten koste van Willem II te promoveren. De aanvallende middenvelder zal zijn ‘oude club’ volgend seizoen dus niet gaan treffen. Maar desondanks heeft Van Moorsel zin om aan de slag te gaan bij zijn nieuwe club. Volgens zijn trainer bij FC Den Bosch, Alfons Groenendijk, bezit Van Moorsel de kwaliteiten om een volwaardige speler te worden van FC Groningen.
Koen van de Laak speelde op 6 mei tegen AZ zijn laatste minuten voor FC Groningen. Afgelopen week was hij Zuid-Afrika waar hij stage liep bij Ajax Cape Town. FCG TV verslaggever Emiel Venema sprak met Van de Laak over de week in Kaapstad. Van de Laak is enthousiast over de club en de omgeving, Ajax Cape Town heeft laten weten Van de Laak graag naar Zuid-Afrika te willen halen. Nu is het afwachten of het ook daadwerkelijk tot een overeenkomst gaat komen.
Vorige week sloot FC Groningen het seizoen af met een wedstrijd tegen de Suriprofs. Diverse spelers van de selectie stapten daarna op het vliegtuig om samen met hun familie vakantie te kunnen vieren. Zo vloog Matias Jones naar Uruguay waar hij eerst goed uit gaat rusten om daarna weer flink aan zijn conditie te werken om straks topfit aan de voorbereiding te kunnen beginnen. Suk Hyun-Jun gaat vooral bijpraten met zijn familie en zijn vrienden in Zuid-Korea bezoeken. Hij kijkt vooral uit naar het toernooi om de Peace Cup in juli in zijn thuisland.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1. Er zijn herhalingen om 19.00 uur en 21.00 uur en 23.00 uur op EL2.
