FC Groningen oefent zondagmiddag bij VV Neptunia in Delfzijl voor de zevende en laatste keer in de voorbereiding op het seizoen 2013/2014. Het duel met FC Emmen begint om 15.00 uur. Kassa’s openen om 13.30 uur. Geadviseerd wordt op tijd naar Delfzijl te komen om eventuele wachtrijen te ontlopen.
Na de flinke belangstelling voor het duel van afgelopen woensdag in Haren, wordt ook zondag in Delfzijl een goede bezochte oefenwedstrijd verwacht tussen de Groningse en Drentse BVO. Over een week begint voor beide ploegen immers de competitie en dus zullen de contouren van de basisformatie van trainers Erwin van de Looi en Joop Gall steeds duidelijker worden.
FC Groningen en FC Emmen wonnen beiden drie duels van amateurformaties. FC Groningen won vervolgens van Helmond Sport en verloor van Mainz en Getafe. Emmen verloor van PEC Zwolle, FC Utrecht, Heracles Almelo en afgelopen weekend van het Schotse Rangers. Voor beide ploegen is de krachtmeting van zondagmiddag de laatste in de voorbereiding.
