Dinsdag middag om half 5 werd het trainingsveld ingenomen door een grote groep jongemannen die allemaal een poging deden om de halve finale te behalen van de Shoot Out activiteit van FC Groningen
Vanaf het begin van dit seizoen zijn de GWB leden bezig een gooi te doen naar de penalty Shoot Out bokaal. Elke thuiswedstrijd worden door 5 GWB leden twee penalty’s en een Shoot Out poging genomen en diegene met de meeste punten gaat door naar de kwartfinale.
Na een dertiental wedstrijden bleven er 23 kwartfinalisten over die allemaal een plekje veroverd hadden in de volgende ronde. Met keeper Renze Fij, van de beloften van FC Groningen, op doel, mocht eenieder weer twee penalty’s en een Shoot Out poging nemen. Na een aantal spannende uitslagen en momenten zijn er acht gelukkige halve finalisten uitgekomen.
Aanstaande zondag strijden Tom, Reinout, Nick en Jordi om twee van de vier finale plekken. Tijdens de wedstrijd FC Groningen – De Graafschap gaan Theodoor, Sam, Youri en Quincy de strijd met elkaar aan om de finale op woensdag 2 mei te halen.
