FC Groningen TV heeft vanavond een terugblik op de laatste wedstrijd van dit seizoen tegen FC Twente en een samenvatting van de bekerfinale van zaterdag van de B1. Daarnaast is er een gesprek met Ed Zijp die per 1 juli aanstaande stopt als voorzitter van de Raad van Commissarissen. Daarnaast is er een portret van de Speler van het Jaar Virgil van Dijk.
Afgelopen zondag wist FC Groningen die 1-0 nederlaag van drie dagen eerder in Euroborg tegen FC Twente bijna ongedaan te maken. Maar de 2-1 voorsprong van de eerste helft werd in de slotfase weggegeven waarna FC Twente met een 3-2 overwinning alsnog doorging naar de finale van de play-offs. De teleurstelling bij trainer Robert Maaskant, aanvoerder Kees Kwakman en doelpuntenmaker Andraz Kirm was na afloop dan ook groot.
Ook RVO FC Groningen/Cambuur B1 kreeg het afgelopen weekend een bittere pil te slikken. De ploeg van trainer Peter Moltmaker ging de bekerfinale zaterdag tegen Ajax B1 met een 2-0 voorsprong de rust in, maar verloor uiteindelijk ook met 3-2. Wat overbleef waren de complimenten voor de prima prestatie die de B1 in Wezep neerzette. FCG TV heeft vanavond een samenvatting van de bekerfinale.
Ed Zijp stopt per 1 juli als voorzitter van de Raad van Commissarissen. Hij vindt het na ruim zestien jaar FC Groningen het juiste moment om het stokje door te geven aan zijn opvolger Bert Middel. In FCG TV kijkt Zijp terug op zijn periode als voorzitter van FC Groningen en vertelt hoe hij straks naar de wedstrijden van zijn FC gaat kijken.
Virgil van Dijk werd vorige week na de thuiswedstrijd tegen Ajax gehuldigd als Speler van het Jaar 2012/2013. Van Dijk scoorde gedurende het seizoen zeventien punten en dat was één punt meer dan Michael de Leeuw. De centrale verdediger vindt het een eer dat hij juist door de supporters van de FC is gekozen. In FCG TV gaat programmamaker Emiel Venema met Van Dijk in gesprek over zijn uitverkiezing.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 18.00 uur uitgezonden op Eredivisie Live 1 en om 19.00 uur op Eredivisie Live 2. De herhaling is te zien om 21.00 uur en 23.00 uur op EL 2. Woensdag wordt FCG TV om 9.05 uur en 13.30 uur herhaald op EL1.
FC Groningen TV is zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV. De uitzending op de lokale omroep van Groningen begint om 15.30 uur waarna het tot 9.00 uur in de ochtend wordt herhaald.
