De keuze voor het nieuwe thuis- en uittenue voor het seizoen 2019/2020 is gemaakt. In tegenstelling tot eerdere jaren is er gekozen voor een beslissing door een keuzecommissie met daarin leden vanuit alle geledingen binnen en rond de club en kledingsponsor PUMA.
De voorgaande seizoenen werd er geregeld een ontwerpwedstrijd of verkiezing gehouden onder de supporters van FC Groningen. In verband met de beperkte aanlooptijd naar het moment van kiezen en de nu nog geheime details in de wereldwijde ontwerplijn van PUMA voor het seizoen 2019/2020 is de keuze gemaakt tijdens een bijeenkomst van het supportersoverleg.
Overeenstemming
In het supportersoverleg van oktober zijn personen uit alle supportersgeledingen en vanuit de diverse tribunes in het Hitachi Capital Mobility Stadion vertegenwoordigd. Naast diverse medewerkers van FC Groningen was ook een vertegenwoordiger van PUMA aanwezig om de diverse opties voor de details in het thuisshirt en het ontwerp en kleur van het uitshirt toe te lichten.
Uiteindelijk werd er algemene overeenstemming bereikt over het te voeren thuistenue in het seizoen 2019/2020 en werd het uitshirt voor aankomend seizoen gekozen. Insteek is om al in de slotfase van het seizoen 2018/2019 het nieuwe uittenue te kunnen presenteren en in de verkoop te kunnen doen.
Derde tenue
Inmiddels wordt het paarse ‘derde tenue’ uit de standaardcollectie van dit seizoen verkocht in de FanCorner en is deze ook online verkrijgbaar.
