Vanmiddag staat in Glimmen de Keepers-Talentendag van FC Groningen op het programma. Jonge, talentvolle keepers geboren tussen 1995 en 2001 zullen hun vaardigheden tonen aan onder anderen de FC-doelmannen Marco Bizot, Luciano da Silva, Stefan van der Lei, Joey Potveer en de keeperstrainers Ruud Hesp, Henk Ritsema, Rick Havinga en Bas Roorda.
Door het grote aantal aanmeldingen is de Keepers-Talentendag van FC Groningen verplaatst naar Sportpark De Groenenberg in Glimmen. Op de oorspronkelijke locatie, Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn, ontstond door de vele aanmeldingen een ruimtegebrek aangezien er op woensdagmiddag ook nog andere activiteiten op het jeugdcomplex van FC Groningen worden gehouden. Plezier Op de eerste plaats staat het plezier voor de deelnemende jeugdige keepers voorop. Aan de andere kant hoopt FC Groningen door het organiseren van deze leuke sportieve middag een beter beeld te krijgen van het niveau van de doelverdedigers uit de eigen regio in de genoemde leeftijdsgroepen. Om 15.00 uur start een gevarieerd trainingsprogramma onder leiding van de keeperstrainers van FC Groningen, waarbij tal van onderdelen aan bod komen.
