FC Groningen TV is vandaag bij de finaleronde van het toernooi om de beste FIFA14-speler van het Noorden. Daarnaast is er een portret van Niels Stenekes van FC Groningen A1 en een voorbeschouwing op het duel van komende zondag tegen FC Twente.
Afgelopen woensdag vond in het FC Café in Euroborg de finaleronde van het toernooi om de beste FIFA14-speler van het Noorden plaats. Na drie voorrondes bleven er 46 deelnemers over die afgelopen woensdag via een knock-outsysteem uitmaakten wie op 9 februari FC Groningen in Euroborg gaat vertegenwoordigen in een FIFA14-wedstrijd tegen sc Heerenveen. Met veel respect voor elkaar leverden de deelnemers een spannende strijd die uiteindelijk een zeer sterke winnaar opleverde. In FCG TV is een verslag te zien van de finaleronde van het zeer geslaagde toernooi.
Afgelopen zaterdag keerde FC Groningen A1 middenvelder Niels Stenekes even terug op het oude nest. In de zomer van 2012 maakte Stenekes de overstap van VV Actief naar de jeugdopleiding van FC Groningen. Zaterdag speelde hij met zijn huidige ploeg, FC Groningen A1, op het sportpark van VV Actief in Eelde tegen Feyenoord A1. Stenekes liet tegen Feyenoord zien dat hij in ruim anderhalf jaar FC Groningen enorm veel heeft geleerd. Trainer Peter Hoekstra is dan ook zeer tevreden met de inbreng en de ontwikkeling van de oud-speler van VV Actief.
Komende zondag ontvangt FC Groningen voor de 37e keer FC Twente. Van de eerdere 36 ontmoeting won FC Groningen er veertien en werd er negen keer gelijk gespeeld. Op 18 februari 2001 won FC Groningen met 2-0, mede dankzij een doelpunt van de huidige trainer van FC Groningen A1, Peter Hoekstra. FC Groningen blikt vooruit op het duel van zondag met onder anderen verdediger Johan Kappelhof.
FC Groningen TV wordt vanavond om 17.00 uur en 23.30 uur uitgezonden op Fox Sports Eredivisie kanaal 1. FCG TV wordt herhaald om 18.00 uur en 22.50 uur op kanaal 3 en om 19.00 uur op kanaal 5.
De afleveringen van FC Groningen TV zijn elke zaterdag ook te zien op OOG TV, de lokale omroep van Groningen. De uitzendingen beginnen om 15.30 uur en zijn in een carrousel terug te zien tot zondagochtend 9.00 uur.
