Op Corpus den Hoorn werken drie jeugdteams van FC Groningen/Cambuur morgen een thuiswedstrijd af. FCG D1 opent de dag tegen VA FC Twente D1 en de ploeg van trainer Hugo, derde op de ranglijst, heeft wat goed te maken. Allereerst werd vorige week van koploper Vitesse/AGOVV verloren, daarnaast leed de ploeg eerder dit seizoen in Hengelo nog een 6-2 nederlaag tegen de Tukkers. Ook de tweedejaars C-junioren hebben VA FC Twente als tegenstander. FCG C1 versloeg vorige week koploper Ajax met ruime cijfers.
Om half drie neemt FCG B1 het op tegen Willem II/RKC B1. Beide ploegen staan in de onderste regionen van de eredivisie en hebben de punten hard nodig. De ploeg van trainer Peter Moltmaker won dit seizoen pas eenmaal. Overigens eindigden de drie voorgaande confrontaties op Corpus den Hoorn tussen Groningen en de Tilburgers telkens in een gelijkspel.
Het vlaggenschip gaat op bezoek bij middenmoter Feyenoord/Excelsior A1. De onder-14 ploeg van FCG speelt tenslotte op de Herdgang tegen PSV C2.
