Afgelopen woensdag was er de Algemene Ledenvergadering van de Coaches Betaald Voetbal. Daar kwam onder meer de competitie-opzet voor Beloftenteams aan de orde. Onder anderen Pieter Huistra heeft een voorstel gedaan de Beloftenteams van betaald-voetbalclubs onder te brengen in de Jupiler League.
Pieter Huistra; “Komend seizoen (2012/2013 – red.) is er het voornemen deze Beloftenteams op te delen in een noordelijke en zuidelijke divisie en daarna de top-5 van beide poules in te delen voor de strijd om het kampioenschap. Momenteel bestaat de Eredivisie uit veertien teams en de eerste divisie uit zes.”
“Wij hebben een voorstel gedaan de Beloftenteams te laten instromen in of onder de Jupiler League. Dat zou kunnen in een nieuw te vormen Tweede Divisie of de Topklassen. Nadat spelers uit de A-jeugd komen is het van groot belang dat ze in een kwalitatief goede competitie komen te spelen. Een item wat eigenlijk al sinds de jaren ’80 speelt. Dat lijkt ons als trainers ook nog steeds belangrijk en gezien de situatie in diverse buitenlanden lijkt ons dit een goed voorstel. De KNVB zal zich in de komende periode over de voor- en nadelen buigen.”
