Woensdag 7 maart vond de kwartfinale van de Gasunie Shoot Out plaats op Corpus den Hoorn.
Bij alle thuiswedstrijden van FC Groningen vindt in de rust de Gasunie Shoot Out plaats. Twee penalties en één Shoot Out poging en zoveel mogelijk punten proberen te scoren. Vijf deelnemers strijden dan om een plek in de kwartfinale.
Afgelopen woensdag was de kwartfinale van Corpus den Hoorn. De deelnemers kwamen op het sportpark met hun familie. De deelnemers werden in vier groepen ingedeeld. De twee deelnemers met de meeste punten gingen door naar de halve finale. Bij een gelijk aantal punten, werd er om en om een penalty genomen.
Keeper van dienst was Oscar Hooiveld, keeper van FC Groningen O17. Oscar liet zien dat hij de baas op het veld was.

Ayden Delger Bovengenoemden komen zondag al in actie tijdens FC Groningen-PEC Zwolle.

Ruben Balk Zij strijden tijdens de rust bij FC Groningen-Roda JC om een plek in de finale.
De finale van de Gasunie Shoot Out is op zondag 15 april 2018.
Dan ontvangen de finalisten een beker en de winnaar ontvangt een cadeaubon van FC Groningen die te besteden is in de FanShop.
