Dag allemaal,
ik ben Merijn Binnekamp en van Groby mag ik 3 keer deze weblog vullen met mijn belevenissen tijdens het Wereld Kampioenschap voetbal voor jongeren met diabetes.
Ik heb zaterdag 20 augustus voorbereiding gehad op de WK Junior Cup Diabetes in Zwitserland. Ik moest om 6 uur uit mijn bed, want wij zaten nog op Terschelling. Nadat wij met de snelboot in Harlingen aankwamen, reden we naar het Olympisch Stadion in Amsterdam. Allereerst kregen we daar wat uitleg over wat er die dag zal gaan gebeuren. Ook kreeg je je trainingspak en twee trainingsshirts. Het lijkt echt gaaf, met z’n allen in het trainingstenue met grote letters “Nederland”achterop. Het wedstrijdtenue krijgen we in Zwitserland. Voor de promotie gingen we in onze nieuwe outfit op de foto. Ik voelde me een echte international! Na het maken van de foto, vertrokken we met zijn allen richting de kleedkamers. Omkleden en dan onze eerste training.
Twee cameraploegen waren aanwezig om onze training te filmen. Op SBS 6, Hart van Nederland, zijn we zaterdagavond op TV geweest. Stoer hoor, om zo ons team aan het werk te zien. De training werd gegeven door onze bondscoach Tino Stoop. We begonnen met een kleine warming up. Daarna gingen we over naar een positiespel. Hier hebben we veel van geleerd. Na het positiespel hadden we even de tijd om onze bloedsuikers te meten en om wat te eten en/of te drinken. Toen we allemaal weer op het veld stonden, en er weer tegenaan konden, gingen we bezig met een afwerkvorm. We sloten de training af met een grote partij van 7 tegen 7. De training was hierna afgelopen. De coaches hebben de afgelopen weken goed geïnformeerd naar onze tegenstanders. Naar verwachting zullen wij sterke teams treffen van Mexico, Italie en Spanje. We kregen de laatste informatie over onze reis, de activiteiten en het hotel. Ik heb er reuze zin in en zal vrijdag met het team vertrekken vanaf Schiphol. Veel ouders en bekenden gaan mee, dus we verwachten het oranje gevoel helemaal te krijgen. Al met al was het een leuke, leerzame, maar ook zware dag.
