Hoi voetbalvriendjes,
Het is eindelijk kerstvakantie! Lekker twee weken geen school en alleen maar leuke dingen doen. Ik weet dat een aantal van jullie op vakantie gaat. Ik ga zelf ook even op vakantie. De week tussen kerst en oud en nieuw verblijf ik namelijk bij mijn familie op de Noordpool.
Vorig jaar zou ik ook naar hun toe gaan, maar kwam ik per ongeluk in Nigeria terecht. Gelukkig zat mijn vriend Oluwafemi Ajilore ook in het vliegtuig en mocht ik bij zijn familie kerst vieren. Het was een bijzonder warme kerst, letterlijk en figuurlijk!
Dit jaar vlieg ik dus, hopelijk, naar de Noordpool op maandagavond 27 december. Ik heb mijn familie al heel erg lang niet gezien en kan dus niet wachten tot ik weer thuis ben! Maar eerst wordt er nog gevoetbald. Als alles goed gaat speelt FC Groningen morgen tegen Excelsior in Rotterdam. De Rotterdammers staan op nr. 16 van de ranglijst. Natuurlijk gaan ook kinderen van de Junior Club mee naar de wedstrijd. Er zijn 11 kinderen uitgenodigd om mee te doen met de line-up en er gaan ook 39 ouders en kinderen mee in de fantour bus. Veel plezier allemaal!
Voor iedereen die thuis blijft heb ik nog een leuke actie: Op 27 december kom ik om tussen 15.00 en 16.00 uur samen met Shkodran Metaj naar de Martinihal voor het jaarlijkse Kerstplaza Groningen. Leden van de Junior Club en Green White Bengels mogen die dag op vertoon van hun pasje met korting naar binnen. In plaats van € 10,00 of € 12,00 betalen jullie die dag € 6,00 euro!
